Golden poppy (Eschscholzia californica) produces bright orange-gold flowers above feathery blue-green foliage. It has a long history of traditional use as a mild relaxing botanical and is a common component of European herbal blends today.
It is unrelated to the opium poppy and contains none of its alkaloids.
